How RSorder Helps You Make 100M GP in Old School RuneScape

100 million GP is a lot of money in Old School RuneScape. Whether you're starting from scratch or already have some coins, reaching 100M is a major milestone. The first thing to understand is that making 100M isn't a quick process. You either need to spend time leveling your skills and completing quests to unlock high-level money makers, or you'll have to dedicate hours grinding lower-tier methods. Even making one million GP per hour, which is considered a good rate for early money-making, will take roughly 100 hours to hit 100 million. The most important part is finding a method you actually enjoy. If you force yourself to grind a method just for a few extra hundred thousand GP per hour, you'll quickly burn out. When you enjoy what you're doing, you naturally stick with it and make even more money over time.
If you have nothing to your name, the first step is to get a small cash stack. One of the easiest ways to do this is by completing the first few floors of the Stronghold of Security, which can net you around 10K OSRS gold. From there, early-game players often turn to the Blast Furnace. The Blast Furnace is an incredibly efficient way to make money early on. You can start on day one with minimal requirements, but it's highly recommended to get a coal bag from Motherlode Mine. That can take about 10 to 12 hours depending on your mining level, but it also gives you ores to sell or use for crafting. Once you have the coal bag, you can smelt steel bars. This requires 30 Smithing, most of which can be achieved simply by completing The Knight's Sword quest. Steel bars can earn over 500K GP per hour and allow you to build a cash stack of 10M fairly quickly. Later on, when you get the Smithing level to smelt Rune bars, you can make over 1M GP per hour. Blast Furnace also gives decent experience for both Mining and Smithing, making it one of the best early methods for long-term progress.
If you don't want to use the Blast Furnace, crafting offers several alternatives. Starting with gold jewelry is very accessible. Gold bracelets can be made at level seven Crafting, and free-to-play players can even make gold rings at level five. Completing the Dwarf Cannon quest boosts your Crafting from one to seven instantly, allowing you to make jewelry right away. As your Crafting level increases, you can start making higher-level jewelry for more profit. Enchanting sapphire rings into Rings of Recoil is another low-level method that gives both profit and Magic experience. At level ten Crafting, you can turn flax into bow strings. This method doesn't make a huge amount of money, usually a little under 200K GP per hour, but it's very cheap to start and can push you over a million coins on your first day. Fletching is another option. Turning logs into longbows doesn't make massive money, but logs are cheap and Fletching XP is fast. Over time, you can work up to Maple and Magic longbows with minimal effort, giving a mix of XP and profit.
Once you've built a cash stack of around 10 million GP, you can move on to more mid-tier money makers. Tanning Dragon hides has long been a reliable way to make money and doesn't require high levels, though it does require starting cash to buy hides. Green, blue, red, and black dragon hides generally give similar profits, but prices fluctuate, so checking the Grand Exchange before starting is always a good idea. Magic can also be a profitable skill. Aside from enchanting jewelry, you can make money using Lunar spells, which can also train Crafting. Making Varrock teleport tablets at your house altar gives some Magic XP while being low effort. You'll need at least 40 Construction to use the altar efficiently, but it's worth the investment for steady profit. You can also make Mahogany planks using the Dream Mentor spell, though this requires a larger cash investment than spinning flax into bow strings.
As your Crafting level increases, Dragonstone jewelry becomes an option. Dragonstone rings or bracelets are much more expensive than lower-level gems, but they're very profitable if you have a decent cash stack, usually around 10M or more. Herblore can also be profitable. Making unfinished potions, like Ronar potions, requires level 30 Herblore and some starting cash. You don't gain Herblore XP from making unfinished potions, which is why many players training the skill are willing to pay extra for them. Fletching Adamant bolts with diamond or ruby tips is a low-intensity method that mainly requires cash and Fletching skill. Enchanting the bolts does not currently turn a profit, so you should sell the unenchanted bolts instead.
Once you have a cash stack of 25 million GP or more, you can invest in higher-tier methods and start bossing. Returning to the Blast Furnace, you can smelt Rune bars at level 85 Smithing, but this requires significant cash for ores. Methods like unfinished potions, Dragonstone jewelry, and tanning Dragon hides also become much more convenient once you have more starting gold. You can also use your cash to buy decent combat gear and train combat stats for bossing. Higher combat stats increase the efficiency of PvM money makers, even for monsters that don't require high-level gear. Hitting 70–90+ in each main combat stat will significantly improve your bossing efficiency.
For beginners, starting bosses like Barrows, Giant Mole, or Sarnus is recommended. These bosses are relatively simple to kill, though they don't make the most money per hour. Vorath is a tougher fight but has consistent drops that net a few million GP per hour. To access Vorath, you must complete Dragon Slayer II, which sets useful goals for your account and helps you progress in combat and OSRS Fire Cape. Minimal setups like a Rune Crossbow with Ruby bolts work for range, while Dragon Hunter Lance or Osam Fang are strong melee options. Vorath doesn't have huge rare drops, but the consistency is ideal for steadily increasing your bank.
Another optional money maker if you have 5–10M GP is Crystal key looting. Move your house near the Taverley chest and use house teleports with bank teleports to reset trips efficiently. You'll need 10 Construction to move your house, but the method is simple and low effort.
The main takeaway in OSRS money making is to find a method you genuinely enjoy. Grinding methods you dislike leads to burnout, while enjoying the process allows you to earn consistently. Start with low-tier methods, gradually build your cash stack, invest in higher-level methods, and work on your skills and combat stats along the way. Eventually, 100 million GP is within reach. Once you achieve it, think about investing your gold in better money-making methods, gear, or training skills to continue progressing.
