LIVING IN THE FUTURE
|
No country can exist without development. Without progress there is only one thing possible - regress. That's why development of technologies is so important nowadays and scientists all over the world try to invent something new and special. Furthermore, automation has already made our life easier, the question is if the progress can ever come to its end.
Vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, television sets, video and tape recorders, computers are now an integral part of our life. We can't even imagine our household without such automation, although several years ago it was something new and unknown. Automation has changed our lives and we didn't even notice it. Before soon we will have wasted less time and energy if automation makes much of the housework instead of us.
Scientists have already invented many very useful household appliances. Now we consider ourselves to be at a high level of development. Nevertheless, we don't mean to stop. Automation, that we have nowadays is modernized practically every day, what's more, innovations are still being introduced. For example there are some houses in different countries, that "think for themselves". Such buildings check you have left before turn the lights off and clear the dustbins. Most of them have computer console that allows to control all automation in the house, beginning with lights and finishing with air conditioning. The doors are opened and shut automatically as one approaches. Security system, smoke and fire alarms are also wired in. the automation has its great advantages. First of all, it's very convenient - one can operate everything from one spot.
However fantastic such houses may seem to us, scientists have an idea, that all being well, by the year 2010 they will have developed not only a thinking house but intelligent home appliances as well.
By the twenty first century some buildings will have been higher than the clouds. On the other hand cities are being worked on by the architects where everyone will live below ground in the artificial light of day. In general, if everything is O.K., the 21 century will bring us much more surprises in the technical development than the previous one. |
