Nowadays many parents are worried their children are not getting enough exercise. Besides they wish their young were not afraid of those who want to attack them no matter for what reason. For these purposes martial arts seem to be very good. Kung fu, Judo, Karate, Kendo and many others can be used like a weapon but they are no guns. They give a lot of exercise, they are not only gymnastics but are based on inner force as well.
Many martial arts are introduced to the whole world. Most of them come from China, their motherland. People use martial arts skills for defence. They are quite sure in the ability to overcome any blows or attacks. People hope, that their strength, endurance and stamina, got during practicising martial arts, will protect them.
Indeed, martial arts tutors try to make people be sure of themselves anywhere and everywhere, they teach not to lose self control in any situation, even if you are attacked. The tutors teach to be quiet and not to get in panic. They persuade you that everybody has inner force, that it is necessary to find it and to use it. The knowledge of practical blows is also necessary, but it is really less important.
Mane people really get results from practicing martial arts. They get comfort, ability to think every situation over. They know how to use their mental power. So the benefits of martial arts are great. But everything in the life has its disadvantages, martial arts also have such.
Certainly, if you have a tutor. who is really master in his work, if you study well, if martial art doesn't damage your health, you can get wonderful results. But on the other hand one may suffer from long-term injures if the tutor doesn't have enough qualification. Many martial arts instructors though having black belts are incredibly young and have never had any training in first aid or sports coaching. It may be even dangerous to go to such classes. You can damage your health and there will be nobody to blame but yourself. Maybe it is better to try something more classical to improve one's strength and stamina… |
