Томская область входит в группу регионов-лидеров по результатам ЕГЭ.  Как сообщает "Эхо Москвы в Томске", 38 процентов учащихся получают образование повышенного уровня в лицеях, гимназиях и колледжах. Стоит отметить, что по итогам приемных экзаменов на целевые места в вузы зачислены 75 молодых людей. Все они должны вернуться в 2011 году для работы в свои районы.
